Description
There is a drawback to 3d - because it allows you to zoom right into a figure on your screen people often ask for details that would never been seen by the human eye on the figure- much less be printed by any current 3d printer.
Although being paid to render such details might sound like a good deal for the artist its a bad trade for the patron/client and so when I quote a price for a sculpture it doesnt include those details. Why would it- it wont show in the final product and so to charge you for detail you'll never see doesnt make any sense to me.
If a client WANTS those details I can do it- I can get down to the layer where I sculpt individual nose hairs if you really want- but you will have to pay extra for it and that sort of minutiae wont be fast or cheap
